During the first visit, information about your state of health will be gathered, the doctor will perform a general examination, an ultrasonographic examination, take and order additional necessary tests, explain the procedure in detail, and answer all your questions. During this visit, You will receive all the information about egg donation.
Egg donation requires medical stimulation of the ovaries. During this time, it is necessary to perform several ultrasound examinations of the ovaries to observe the treatment process. When the eggs are ready for retrieval, follicular puncture is prescribed.
During follicular puncture, eggs are obtained. To avoid any kind of discomfort, the procedure is performed under intravenous anesthesia. Ovarian puncture is performed vaginally (can be compared to gynecological ultrasonography), obtaining eggs with the help of an aspiration needle.
You can go home two hours after the procedure. On this day, it would be better to rest at home and not go to work.
During the first week after the procedure, it is necessary to enjoy a calm lifestyle, especially avoiding sports and sexual relations. When the period starts, you will have to come for sonography control to check if everything is good.
